Greetings !

You know the saying “out of site, out of mind???? Well, we wonder if “out of contact, out of prayer??? is the same? We’d like to think not, because we have the Holy Spirit who lives in us, to quicken our thoughts and to urge us to pray for one another. We say all this, to apologize for being out of regular contact, but to thank you for your faithfulness to pray anyway. We know you pray, because we are the benefactors of many answers to prayer.

Praise Him!

Answers to prayer:
Our BSF classes have grown this year as we studied the Acts of the Apostles. God has raised up new leaders to be trained and has used the BSF training centers to equip them for service. Each of these leaders has grown in confidence and then scatter throughout the city each week serving the local church (of various denominations). They serve by teaching, in administrative roles, by leading small groups, witnessing and by meeting the practical needs of others. It is our great joy to watch them grow in the knowledge of God through Bible study, but even more so to observe how they apply His word in practical ways that impact our community. God’s provision of new leaders will enable us to have a strong start in September for the Genesis Study. Thank you for investing in the lives of others through prayer for our BSF classes.

In these final 2 weeks of bible class, please pray for Jackie as he teaches 3 seminars, and for me as I prepare to teach the final lecture of this study, prepare details for a worshipful share day, and for our teams to complete all end of the year reports. We’re encouraged from Acts as we are reminded how the early church gave reports of God’s work. We pray that our “report??? honors God and causes you to praise Him too for the great work He is doing on this side of the world.

Language Study

We want to thank you for your many prayers for our language study. We are making baby steps, which we pray will one day reveal some progress. As we schedule our summer, we will both take about 10 hrs of language study per week, and we hope to make progress so we can pass an evaluation at the end of the summer. Please continue to pray for our language study.

Summer Activities

• May – Jackie travels to Thailand for some administrative responsibilities. Please pray for an alert mind and accuracy as he serves our regional leaders.
• June – I (Fran) will travel to Hong Kong to co-host a volunteer team from our home church, Lake Pointe in Rockwall. I don’t recognize any of the names on the team but I’m so excited to embrace some Texans! Another ‘M??? and I will escort them to the “larger land??? for a few days of English camp. Pray for opportunities to share the truth about the One we serve. Jackie and I will attend a retreat while there as the volunteer team serves the children of our M’s. When the retreat is over, I will co-host escorting them back to HK. Please pray for travel safety and for God honoring encounters. (June 9-19).After the retreat Jackie will return to Taipei to help process the initial 2006 budget requests from the 400+ families in the region. Please pray for clear thinking & accuracy. I will also be joining the budget team on the 20th – 22nd – pray for smooth teamwork as we process the regional budget submissions.
• June thru August – I will shadow lead a small prayer/support group of ladies through “Beloved Un-believer???. If you are interested in details in how to pray for this group, write fran@thebellsite.com
• July – Jackie and I will travel to Singapore to provide tech support for 25 – 30 M’s at a training event. Please pray that our service will compliment the training of fellow m’s. (July 2-9)
• August – Jackie travels to Thailand to work with regional leaders as they finalize the 2006 budget
