“That All Peoples May Know Him???

——————————————————————————–

It’s been a fast June & it’s almost time for July! It’s been hot here in Taipei the past few days, and for several days in a row, it’s clouded up in the afternoon and rained really hard.

v We want to thank you for your prayers for our annual budget responsibilities.

Last week, among a team of 10, we entered data for more than 400 units/families in the East Asia Region. Please pray for our missions’ leaders to have wisdom concerning proper distributions of (Southern Baptists & others) offerings for the Lord’s work around the world. Pray for good stewardship as each financial request for ministry, travel, language study and living expenses are considered.

Here is a great report we received last week:

v Lottie Tops $136 Million

By now you may have heard the wonderful news that Southern Baptists gave $136.2 million to the 2003 Lottie Moon Christmas Offering. That’s an increase over 2002 of almost $21.2 million — the largest dollar increase in the offering’s 115-year history!

Because Southern Baptists gave so unselfishly, restrictions on sending workers are being loosened. That means at least 200 additional long and short-term workers will be able to join existing teams or penetrate areas where there is no known witness. The result will be that more people groups and mega cities in East Asia and around the world will be engaged and more individuals will hear the gospel.

Thank you for the part you played in achieving this marvelous success with the Lottie Moon offering. Your faithfulness in giving has provided for the workers He is calling into the harvest.

v Language Study:

Some days, we feel we make progress and others we think it is going through one ear and out the other. Please pray that we will both retain the words we have studied so far and be quick to absorb more.

v Travel Safety:

Jackie will go to Singapore (July 4-9) to help new M’s set up their computers and to tweak a network at one of our missions training centers. Fran will go to BSF Headquarters in San Antonio (July 12-16) for training in preparation for the Acts of the Apostles study beginning in September.

v Family Time:

Please pray for a blessed time with Paige and Travis during the 2 weekends sandwiched around the BSF training. Pray for us (J&F) as we are apart for the 3 weeks during our travels.

v Hearing from you:

Thanks to those of you who keep us updated. We love staying in touch! We thank God as Travis turns 25 this week – enjoy the car insurance raise! We rejoice over the graduation of our niece, Kacey Hunter. We extend our love and sorrow to our dear friends Wayne and Brenda Daily, as their daughter Beneva Richardson met Jesus face to face in heaven June 9th.

May each of you have a loving summer, enjoy your families when you can.

Independence & Dependence: True freedom comes from depending on God.

Have a Happy 4th of July!

Love,

Jackie & Fran Bell

Acts 20:24 However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me-the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace. (from New International Version)

Words to the wise:

The best thing we all can do is to NEVER click on any link in a SPAM message, and NEVER NEVER NEVER buy anything we found in a SPAM message. SPAM would not be so prevalent if it were not so effective. They just need 1 guy in 100,000 to click on a link and buy something for it to be profitable.

Protect your privacy and security: Always use Blind Carbon Copy (BCC:) for forwarding all multiple recipient e-mail. Never Forward a Forwarded message: copy and paste the message text into a new message. Scattering hundreds of e-mail addresses around to people who do not know each other is just asking for Spam and virus trouble, and invites malicious hackers. Check your virus software for updates at least once a week.
