Dear Family and Friends –

Our anticipation of Paige & Travis’ visit will be a reality on Sunday May 20th. Please pray for travel safety as they depart DFW early Saturday Morning and the Lord’s watch care concerning a five-hour layover in San Francisco. Please pray for endurance for the long flight and that it will be pleasant for them both. Especially pray for everything to go smooth as they enter Taiwan – they will need to acquire a 30-day landing visa. Pray for easy passage through customs, as we anxiously wait for them to pass through that final line. (May there be no delays!) Above all, pray for protection upon their health conditions and that medication will be fully effective while here.

We have spent the past couple of weeks readying the apartment for Travis and Paige’s visit in hopes their stay will be comfortable. They will stay for 16 days and we plan to show them as much of the cultural as possible. Two Chinese friends have invited us to dinner on two separate evenings for us all to experience Chinese cuisine. (I admit – my palate has mixed emotions – where’s the Picante sauce and ketchup?) During their second week, we will travel mid island along the east coast by train to Hualien, then travel westward by bus to visit the Taroko Gorge [visit web] http://www.tbroc.gov.tw/tbroc99_3w_eng/tour_info/user/m3.htm click on NATURAL BEAUTY, then TYPE Taroko Gorge. We know our time together will go by fast. Please pray that every moment will be full of lasting joyous memories to keep us close until we meet again.

The Matthew Study in our Bible Study Fellowship classes will end in two weeks. This afternoon, a class member in the Evening Women’s class phoned one of our discussion leaders and said she felt the urgency to know God personally. They met in a classroom prior to our class meeting and the young lady prayed to invite Christ into her heart. Rejoice with the angels! Please pray that the Lord will use these final two chapters of Matthew to speak to the hearts of all class members the truth of who He is and His deep love & desire for all to know Him personally. Pray those who are not appropriating the power of the Holy Spirit in their everyday living will truly see the significance of Christ’s resurrection in this final week’s study.

Many of you prayed for the Temples Prayer Walk a few weeks ago. You can read about my personal perspective and experience at http://communities.msn.com/JackFran&naventryid=120 , this should take you straight to the report, or you can go to the home page http://communities.msn.com/jackfran and click on the TEMPLES & HIGH PLACES REPORT.

In closing, we are currently in process of finalizing a mission trip to China. Pray the details will fall in place according to God’s will and that He will prepare our hearts to serve in the mainland. Also pray for summer ministries to be finalized for the both of us.

We are here by the grace of God and we have a deep gratitude for your prayerful support.

Philippians 1:3-4 I thank my God in all my remembrance of you, always offering prayer with joy in my every prayer for you all.

Blessings,

Jackie & Fran
