The past couple of weeks, and especially the last couple of days, have been awesome – weather-wise. Fall is definitely in the air in Taipei. We’ve tried to get outside every chance we get. Weekend before last we went on a bike ride. It started out to be a short outing just to get some fresh air but it turned into a 4 hour ride.
Taipei uses a fairly large river for water management and it runs close by our neighborhood. All along the river they have developed the flood plain into parks joined by a bike trail that follows the river. It was really nice. We rode the trail from our neighborhood south to the end of the trail. It was late and we were tired at the end so we pedaled to the nearest subway station and took the lazy way home

Not living in the USA I didn’t hear about this TV show until now.
ABC Nightline did a series on the 10 Commandments.
Here’s a clip from the 2nd show – 2nd commandment – Exodus 20:4-5
Or watch it on Mars Hill Church’s website: Mars Hill Church.
The entire Nightline series can be found HERE.
Just wanted to quickly say thanks to anyone who prayed for me over the weekend. I gave the lecture at BSF on Monday night and it went well. I was prepared (working on it up to the last minute) and was able to “adlib” several times instead of having to read the whole thing. I was pleased.
The opening two songs were just awful though. No piano player – singing unfamiliar hymns – in a non-native language – produced a really pitiful result. Very bad. The third song – the one just before the lecture, was evidently much better known by the guys so it was really good. There were no visitors so I didn’t have to give an intro class either so that allowed me to relax a few minutes before I started. All in all a good night
Thank you for praying!
I wonder if I could ask for you help on a couple of things?
Thanks, and have a great weekend!
