Friday was a public holiday in Taiwan. It is called 10-10 or Double Ten. THIS Wikipedia article explains what it is all about.

After hanging around the apartment all day we both needed some fresh air so we struck out at about 5 o’clock in search of some sky. We needed some wide open space. Good Luck! We ended up walking to the river that is about 15-20 minutes away on foot. Here is what we saw .

From there we went to Kiwi Gourmet Burgers for dinner which we finished off with a couple of what we call pudding cakes from the night market, for dessert.

  1. You have a beautiful sky up there! Wide open spaces in Taipei, hmmm. ;) I’m glad you found a good spot. “Down here” in the south we also can leave our house and go about 15 minutes away for some open space. Take care.
