Fran and I have gotten used to typhoons in Taiwan. We live in a 7 story building on the 3rd floor. Our apartment faces a courtyard that is practically boxed in on all four sides. So when the rain and wind hits we rarely experience any of it. Well “Jangmi” changed all of that. WOW! We are really getting pounded by the rain and wind today. Pray for the people of Taiwan that are not as fortunate as we are to live in a well protected building in a high location. No doubt there will be widespread wind damage and flooding from this one.

Fran and I were getting a little weary of being indoors because of the weather (Typhoon Sinlaku) so last Saturday we went for a drive out of Taipei, over to the East Coast. It is really refreshing to get out of the smog and traffic, breathe some ocean breezes, and soak up the scenery. Here are a few of the pictures.

We just published a newsletter. If you are not on our list and want to be, either send an email or leave a comment and we will get you added. You can read the newsletter HERE
If you came here from the newsletter to see what else has been going on . . . . well . . . so much has been happening that I haven’t had time to make many entries.
I wanted you to know that if you wanted to see any of the pictures mentioned in the newsletters, you can find them on Flickr HERE – otherwise just look through the posts we made this summer.
Now that our schedule will even out, hopefully we will post more often. Please come back soon!
