This morning I was driving Fran to her BSF Class workshop. She was taking some goodies for lunch – so it would be easier for her if I dropped her off near the front door of the church while on my way downtown.
As we are riding along, suddenly she burst out laughing. She said I should have seen what she just saw.
Each day in America there must be hundreds of thousands of workers who go out to their Chevy with a Thermos of coffee for the ride into work. Right? Well, this morning we saw the Taiwanese counterpart to that American worker -
instead of a Thermos of coffee in the Chevy . . . . .
it’s a pot of tea on the motorbike.
Those actions follow a crackdown on unauthorized religious activity ordered July 5 as part of a drive against crime and economic chaos at the village level.
“Strike hard against illegal religious and evil cult activity; eliminate elements that affect the stability of village governance,” said the directive.

We just returned from Hong Kong where the annual Area Workshop for the Northern Asia BSF classes was held. Here are a couple of photos showing the staff of 2 of the 19 classes of this BSF area. Jackie and I are blessed to be a part of these two Taipei classes.

We have returned to Taiwan after being in the good ole USA for a little over 5 months. We had a few issues getting off the ground in Dallas but still arrived on time via Singapore Air. Just a few hours after arriving all the bags were emptied but now it looks like a bomb went off in the apartment!
We have returned to Dallas. Cozumel was wonderful. I’ll post more later. For now it is off to bed to get rested. We have a million things to do before we leave again on Thursday.

Thanks to American Airlines airmiles we are currently getting some much needed R&R in Cozumel, Mexico. We got off to a rocky start because AA lost Fran’s luggage, but they delivered it a little over 24 hrs after we got settled in our hotel. So all is good now.
I had a fantastic day today. I was able to dive 3 times. Underwater here is just like watching the Discovery Channel or National Geographic. Unbelievable!
