When Jackie travels and I am home alone, I try to choose one night to watch my favorite flick – a chick flick – “Return to Me”. Well, at Christmas, Jackie gave me one of my other favorites – “Shadowlands”, and I finally had a chance to watch it last night. (“Return to Me”, didn’t even enter the contest of choice.) What do I think of “Shadowlands”? I love that movie! Anthony Hopkins portrays the character of C.S. (Jack) Lewis in a most gentle, intriguing, and real faith walk that challenges me. I love the many undercurrent references to his writings – especially the mysterious, magical wardrobe from his Narnia Chronicle: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. I want to watch “Shadowlands” again real soon! One of my favorite tag lines: “We read to know we aren’t alone”.
