Wow! I never thought I’d say the air is clean in Taipei.
In Singapore you couldn’t see very far because of the smoke/haze that had blown in from Indonesia. In Thailand the air gave me a headache. You could hardly see across the street – it was BAD!
Now today I was riding my scooter in to the office when I caught a glimpse of the beautiful blue sky – an unusually clear day for Taipei.
In the lower part of the picture you can see the mountains.
After being on the road for most of the last two weeks it is good to be back home.

I hope this isn’t a trend . . . maybe I’ve been behind in posting because of the travel. At any rate, I am catching up (it’s my Monday afternoon & I missed Sat & Sunday)
After sleeping late (9am) on Saturday, we had a nice slow laid back day. In the afternoon we went for a walk at the college campus nearby. From the campus you can see the new Lutheran church that is next door to our apartment building, It was a run down two story building when we arrived in 2000.
