Meet Diane – our hairdresser.  We discovered Diane over the Internet 5 years ago and have been enjoying her friendly in-home service ever since (her shop is in her home).  Today was Diane’s birthday, and she has never had a party.  Three of us surprised her with a BD party – she was shocked and hopefully experienced God’s love.  Pray she will come to know Him as personal Lord one day. In American most newspapers are delivered either by bicycle or out of a car. Here they are mostly delivered off of a scooter like mine (hey – I need to give ya’ll a picture of it). Today at lunch I saw one that was a little different than most.

That’s a three wheel scooter. I especially like the hand warmer on the handlebars (it probably got down to 75 today) and the bags of accessories hanging off the back.

The Men’s BSF class meets on Monday nights. Tonight we had a social. That means that the men come an hour or so earlier than usual and eat some snacks and get to know some of the men in groups other than their own. It a fun “mixer”. Tonight Fran made me model the Christmas tie I wore. It has reindeer on it.

After church today we once again broke bread with our friends and co-workers from Hong Kong. This is a shot back down the lane where we had just eaten. One of our favorite places – The Green Tablecloth. That’s not it’s real name, just what we call it. It’s about halfway down on the right. That’s a motorcycle cop in the lower right corner

Tonight Fran & I went out to dinner with some friends from Hong Kong. We went to Romano’s Macaroni Grill. Yum. Expensive but very tasty. I’d rate it a 4 (out of 5) Fries (Rick).

Afterwards we walked around and went to a gigantic bookstore. On the way back we walked thru some Christmas light that have already gone up near the Taipei 101.

Sorry, it’s a phone camera :-(

Today after Fran and I each had two hours of torture Chinese lessons, we were ready to get outside and enjoy the fall weather. Here is a shot of us on the college campus across Shin Shen Nan Lou.

Here is another shot that might help explain the first one.

Here is a shot of just some of the delicious dishes I sampled today. WOW ! ! ! Was it ever good :-)
