Vehicles like this are fairly common. They are used almost exclusively for trash or recycling though.

TrashTruck

I just finished a fun book titled Transgression. It had mystery, sci-fi, archeology, and other elements that the author, Randall Ingermanson, pulled together well. You’d like it. Four Stars.

Sunday and Monday in Taipei. Tuesday I travel again.

Steak-Dinner

When was the last time you had a fried egg and noodles with your “Chicken chop”?
(day 9)

Day 8 of a year of pictures . . .

Temple

Like Taiwan, there are many temples in Singapore.

I’ve already fallen behind in the picture each day. Today I’ll catch up.

Trikeshaw

These guys travel in packs on the streets of Singapore – at least in the section of town where I hang out. I believe they are called “trikeshaws”.

I took a long walk today. What did I see? A man riding a miniature bike, in a dress shirt and slacks and a plunger in his hand. Wish I’d had the camera for that one. I rode the bus today. Glad I wasn’t in a hurry, the bus driver parked at the gas station to take a potty break. One shop I passed today, I thought I smelled skunk a cookin’. I haven’t posted in a while, so thought I’d share the sights and smells. Fran

National Museum

The Singapore National Museum at night.

This one is for all of you Texans.

Switzapore

Not an ordinary longhorn, huh?
