I guess most people/societies/countries want to be the best, biggest, fastest, etc., but is seems that in this part of the world they REALLY take great pride in being the ?est. Fill in the ?

For example, where is the tallEST building in the world? Where is the biggEST dam? You get the picture. Well this was in a local newspaper today:

Taipei’s Wi-Fi network named world’s ‘densest’

Being the tightwad that I am I haven’t used the network, but if I needed it, it’s there (everywhere). We did recently upgrade our internet broadband speed to the fastest available through our company though.

Ah, the wonders of technology; hard to believe that when we were married the personal pc wasn’t even available. (Yes, I really am that old)

I’ve received an invitation to a web-based Bible program that looks pretty slick. Rather than reinvent the wheel, I’ll just give you a link to a review/explanation of eBible.com  For Firefox users there is a plugin available that adds it to your search window which makes it super easy to use. I have a couple of invites for those who might be seriously interested in checking it out before it officially releases.

I finished In The Frame about a week ago but I am just now getting around to posting it. It is another Dick Francis mystery. He is a very prolific writer who always (at least all I’ve read by him) delivers a good story. Most of his books have something to do with horses or horse racing – he was a professional jockey before turning to writing – but often it is just a small part of the over all story. Anyway, I would suggest anything written by Dick Francis.

Here is the photo referred to in our latest newsletter. If you didn’t get the newsletter just leave a comment and we will send you one right away.

I just finished my latest read, The Last Juror. It’s another John Grisham – not so lawyerly or mysterious – novel. It is more along the lines of A Painted House or Bleachers. I enjoyed it but I think I’m ready for more mystery or action.

Next up is a Dick Francis mystery, In The Frame
