Slowly we are getting settled. As for our home, we still lack bookcases for our books and cd’s, and we have yet to have found LR furniture (ie sofa, chair s& coffee tables). I hope to sooon begin hanging framed family photos and other wall hangiings around the house.

We began language last week and are both hopefull that we can begin making progress in learning Chinese. Jackie is taking 6 hours a week, and I am only taking 4 hours a week. I have 3 teachers for 4 hours. That is interesting.

We have tickets to go see “The Passion” tonight. We know most of our friends in the US have already seen it – and they all recomended we see when it comes to Taiwan. 10,000 copies of the Gospel of Luke will be distributed about the island within the next week- as some of the teams are taking advantage of the opportunity to share the rest of Jesus’ life and minsitry with those who do not know him yet. Please pray that this movie and the gospel distribution can impact this society.

If you have kept up with the world news, Taiwan is in a state of political unrest right now. Pray God will use the unrest to turn hearts toward Him. The faces of the people on the streets are sad, worrisome and somewhat fearful. May this nation come to know the LORD ALMIGHTY, who is Soverign and in control of all historical events. Jesus is the same, Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow.

BSF classes are going well. The Day women’s class currently has 15 on our leadership team, with close to 100 ladies enrolled to study Israel & the Minor Prophet study. We are currently in Zechariah. I enjoy preperations for lecture each week, and am experiencing the Holy Spirit’s empowerment to enable me to teach each week. I need his wisdom and grace as I lead the leaders each week, to prepare them to lead the women and children in our class in God’s ways as we study God’s word. I hear testimonies each week, that just bless me as I hear how the Lord is transforming lives as they grow in their knowledge of Him, and recognize his work in their lives. It is a joy and an honor to hear their stories [see Latest Writings - "Sharing Hearts" on our web page].

Resting in His Hope,
Fran
